Sally Norris is the First Nations Elder in Residence at Dover Bay Secondary School in Naniamo, British Columbia, Canada. She also sits on tne Elders Committee of the Kw'umut Lelum Child and Family Services, an organization responsible for the safety and well being of the st'ulul'iqulh (children) for nine BC First Nations.
Sally is a residential school survivor. She raised five children on her own and now dedicates her life to helping young people from all cultures. Sally has worked for the East Vancouver Community Services Society and as an Outreach Youth Worker in Nanaimo. She works as a cultural consultant and healer for First Nations social and cultural organizations. She has been an Elder of the Indigenous Women's Network for the last year providing direction and guidance to staff and Board. |
