Ann Batisse, Executive Director, joined IWN in 2005. As a member of Matachewan First Nation (Ojibwe Nation in Ontario, Canada), she is a results-oriented Executive with 17 years experience establishing and managing social agencies for First Nation women and their families. Prior to IWN, Ann was Executive Director for eight years at the Kirkland Lake Native Women's Support Group in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, overseeing its founding and growth to a budget of $500,000+ with a staff of eight. She has served as a consultant and trainer to number organizations serving Native communities such as WINGS (Women in the North Generating Solutions) and has counseled and directed social services serving First Nations peoples. She holds a Bachelors of Social Work from Trinity University and is a Certified Life Skills Coach and Trainer through Couteau College. |
