ALMA Program Manager
The Indigenous Women’s Network is looking for a dynamic individual with demonstrated fundraising and community organizing skills to work from our headquarters at Alma De Mujer Centre for Social Change located in Austin, Texas.
The Program Director will be an active member of a team responsible for providing programs and services designed to support the social, cultural and economic autonomy of Indigenous women and their families. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is primarily responsible for the operation and management of the Alma De Mujer Centre including local fundraising, outreach and program development and delivery. This will position will be guided by a local steering committee and will include managing Alma as a rental facility and developing partnerships with like-minded agencies.
Education and Skills: Degree or extensive experience/course work related non-profit business administration, community development, women’s studies, Indigenous studies Demonstrated ability to organize fundraising events and to prepare and negotiate proposals Strong facility and program management skills Experience working with committees, boards and non-profit agencies Knowledge and efficiency in the use of computers and software Ability to work in a cross cultural setting, and demonstrate sensitivity to diverse communities Women and Native American applicants are encouraged to apply
Location: Austin, Texas Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 depending on education and experience
